| NFS Community Day #2 |

Last week, EA invited the owners of the largest NFS sites to come to EA BlackBox Studios and try out NFS Pro Street. Well not being fortunate enough to attend myself, Sinister over at NFSAddons did. He wrote up a nice little review/preview which can be read by clicking here.
Oh, and I am going to try and keep SpeedWeek as up to date as possible. I know that we haven't been updating as often as we should have, but I'd like to change that. Also, the forums would love to have some real new members, not more spambots.

I just figured we let everyone know that we are, in fact, still here. As you probably know, there isn't much NFS news these days, so that is why we don't update the homepage that often. Now, as for cars, files etc, we really need people to submit their cars and files.
If you're reading this, come stop by the forums. Post something. While there isn't much activity now, I think we can change this. I would really like to see this site back to what it used to be.

A few users that have attempted to use the uploading system (and admins trying to approve their files) may have noticed that when clicking "Go" the page returned you with a "Directory does not exist" error, or something of the sort.
This was recently brought to my attention, and I have fixed the error. If you have any problems with the uploading system, feel free to contact me by PM or e-mail.

Well, I just wanted to remind everyone that you can upload your files to SpeedWeek. All you have to do is click here and fill out the required fields and its done. Its that simple. If you do plan on uploading files, please make sure that they are yours or you have the permission of the author.

| Remembering September 11th |

Well, it seems like more than three years ago that the tragedy on September 11th, 2001 occurred. More than 3,500 people lost their lives in the combined terror attacks in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania.
I think that it would be fitting today to have a moment of remembrance for those lost in the terror attacks.

| Downtime |

Overnight the server tried to update a file and failed and deleted the password files for nd4spdworld and all its hosted sites which in return caused hours of downtime and headaches for me and our system admins. 
We are very sorry about this and the downtime. Everything should be in working order once again, if you come across errors please leave a comment in this newspost.

Well we are now backup but we did lose about a month of data due to phpmyadmin not exporting the sql file for the database correctly. We are very sorry about this and if you had a speedweek forum account, please feel free to register again.
Hopefully we will be able to add the cars that we are missing as well as any other file items, I am afraid a few posts and comments in the forum where lost.
I also made the mistake and forgot about the mod_rewrite file for the url's so now most if not all the links currently do not work except for the forum. Hopefully I can have these fixed asap.
